DIY Decor
I love all things rustic and natural. I am drawn toward vintage items and antiques, anything unique, odd, or different, and I love to make things my own. I enjoy building and designing items around my home to suit our needs and taste, especially if I can’t find exactly what I’m looking for. I’m also a HUGE fan of color, and I love working with new and interesting colors and color combinations around the house.
Organization
Like most people, I love a clean, organized space. But let’s be real, that’s hard with all of the other things we all have going on. So one of my goals when thinking about my house is how I can make it work for me, how I can make things easier on myself and everyone else in the family.
Outdoor
I live in southern Arizona, so decorating outdoors can present a unique challenge. We live on about an acre of rural land, though, so I can pretty much do and try whatever I want. My challenges include extreme heat, wind, drought, and animals of all shapes and sizes, including my children! So, needless to say, I’m always looking for creative ways to work around these barriers to brighten up the outside of the house, too.
Seasonal
As my children get older, I appreciate the holidays and all the memories created around them more and more, and, for me, this includes creating and decorating with my family.
