I was so successful with my tree ring pour with house paint last week that I wanted to experiment a little bit more and do a flip-cup pour.
Well, I have to say that I was not as pleased with the results of this flip-cup pour painting as I was with the tree ring pour. But I feel like it’s just as important to share the things that are not successful as it is to share ideas that worked out, perhaps even more so. So that’s why I shared this pour even though I wasn’t thrilled with it.
I do like the finish that you get with the house paints, but I just don’t feel like this is a technique-paint combo that I’m impressed with. Watch the video, take from it what you will, the good, the bad, and the ugly, and let me know what you think. What happened with it? What can I improve upon? I am totally open to suggestions.
Anyway, this may be one for an embellishment.
